A new absentee limit for students in upper secondary education was implemented from start of school years 2016-2017. The Ministry of Education and Research hereby invites to a prequalification for the tender contest regarding research-based evaluation of the new absentee regulations in upper secondary education. The time frame of the evaluation is from 2017 until 2019

The evaluation shall study the absentee limit's influence on the development of the students' absence and drop-out from upper secondary education. The evaluation also includes a study of the consequences the limit has had for students exceeding the absentee limit in one or several subjects, and how the schools are following up students who are close to the limit or have exceeding the limit. The evaluation shall also look into how the new regulations are carried out and if the absentee limit has influenced the work situation for i.a. the school's employees.
