The procurement concerns a turnkey contract for an extension for Froland Secondary School (FUS).

FUS is currently a three-parallel school. There is a need to expand the existing school building, and, at the same time that there is an expected population growth in the municipality in the coming years, a decision has been made to extend the existing secondary school to a four-parallel school.

A new extension is to be established on the back side of the existing buildings. The new building of total approx. 1500 m2 will have three floors (partial basement plus two floors), with a connection to the existing buildings on all floors. In addition the old lifting platform with a shaft in the existing school building is to be demolished and a new lift with an accompanying new shaft is to be established in the same place.

The construction start is scheduled for the start of May 2023, subject to a decision in Froland Municipal Council and financing. The hand over is scheduled for 15.06.2024 with a 12 month trial operation.
