The Authority is in inviting tenders with regards to the supply of dermatoscopes & image transfer system.

The Authority is working in partnership with Calderdale and Greater 1.6Huddersfield CCGs to introduce Teledermatology. Teledermatology will improve the pathway for skin cancer patients ensure the patients are seen by the right clinician first time and in a timely way by

1. On consultation the GP will take images via the dermatascope of the skin lesion.

2. The secure image will then be sent to the secondary care Trust.

3. The images will be triaged by a clinician and the patient directed to the correct service / one stop shop for consultation and treatment.
