IBA Hamburg GmbH has been commissioned with the development of the B-Plan area NF 65 Vogelkamp in Hamburg-Neugraben. With the residential units for conventional residential development and for the longer-term accommodation of refugees, accommodation for up to 5,000 people will be created here by 2026. For this purpose, infrastructural facilities must be created. In order to improve the pedestrian connection of the area to Neugraben station, the existing pedestrian tunnel is to be extended by approx. 27 m barrier-free to the north and thus create a northwestern access to the Hamburg-Neugraben S-Bahn station. Currently, access runs from the south to the middle platform and provides access to tracks 1-3. The existing stock should be preserved and must be taken into account in the connection. The tunnel extension must be made during ongoing operation so that access roads and railway operations are maintained – except for short closure breaks.
