Elia is looking for network equipment and associated network management solution for its TDM communication needs, mainly for electrical protection communication. The proposed equipment should support Access and SDH technology in the same chassis. The actual TDM network consists of 120 sites with SDH and Access equipment and additionally 250 sites with Access equipment connected with E1 interfaces over optical modems or SHDSL modems. In a first phase, this network will be extended with the proposed equipment on access level. In a second phase, the proposed equipment will be used to replace the existing access and SDH equipment.

Elia is looking for a partner who is able to offer a long term solution for network equipment and network management system, and who can support Elia in the complete lifecycle of the solution: design, installation and commissioning, training, HW and SW maintenance.
