Stud link anchor chains and joining shackles.
All 4 mooring lines are identical. The lines are composed of 2 sections of Stud Link Anchor Chain (SLAC); a section of heavy ground chain connected to the anchor and a section of lighter riser chain which is connected to the turbine.
— supply “Ground Chain”: 4 (four) of 92 metres of 114 mm SLAC R3 grade.
Line composition: end-link, enlarged-link, common link, ...., common link
— supply “Riser Chain”: 4 (four) of 143 metres of 90 mm SLAC R3 grade.
Line composition: end-link, enlarged-link, common link, ...., common link.
— supply “Connector”: 4 (four) of d=90mm round pin joining long-term mooring shackle.
Specific requirements:
— all mooring equipment must be compliant with DNV-OS E301 and E302,
— all mooring equipment must be suitable for Long-Term Mooring (LTM),
— all mooring equipment must be R3 grade,
— each length of chain must be able to be shipped within a single standard sized container. Or supplier must notify with alternative cost-effective transportation mode to Hatston, Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland, UK,
— all shackles must be secured by nut and safety pin as well as a taper pin driven through the shackle body,
— all mooring equipment must be issued with material and test certificates. Prices are required for the options of DNV-GL and LRS certificates (note the vessel is not a class certified vessel),
— supplier to check that the d=90mm round pin joining shackle has dimensions such that the bow of the shackle will fit in the 90mm end link and the pin of the shackle will fit a d=114mm common link,
— supply all materials to Orbital Marine Power, Hatston base, Kirkwall, Orkney by 30.5.2019.
