An extruder downstream line for the production of flat films is to be procured.

A twin screw extruder (Micro 27 GL/GG, L/D 40, manufactured in 2008, Leistritz Extrusionstechnik GmbH, Nuremberg) for the operation of the planned film downstream line is already available and has so far been used for the production of granulate or tube profiles. The extruder is to be equipped with a new control system to control the rotational speeds of the screws and the temperatures of the cylinder sections, as well as the two existing gravimetric dosing systems from Brabender. The main feed is a Brabender FlexWall®Plus type ISC-FC, DDW-MD5-FW40/5. A Brabender Single Screw Feeder DDW-MD3-DSR28N-20-ISC serves as side feeder.

The new melt pump and the wide slot nozzle to be procured as part of the project will also be monitored and regulated by the new control system.

In its current configuration, the extruder is mainly used in practical courses in plastics technology and in the production of experimental compounds for industrial and research projects.

The flat film successor line to be procured now represents a significant expansion of the existing extruder. Apparatus is required for this:

1) Gear melt pump for thermoplastics

2) Adjustable heated wide slot nozzle 400 mm wide with manually adjustable gap (0.2 mm – 2 mm) and hanger distributor

3) Flat film follow-up line (3 rollers chill-roll),

4) New control system for the extruder (Micro 27 GL/GG, L/D40, year of manufacture 2008, Leistritz Extrusionstechnik GmbH Nürnberg)
