Implementation of groundwater and surface water monitoring in the ÖGP Bitterfeld-Wolfen, part water level measurements and sampling at measuring points, maintenance of measuring points

Within the framework of the Large-Scale Ecological Project Bitterfeld-Wolfen (ÖGP), the continuation of the groundwater and surface water monitoring, which is carried out regularly every year, is planned. The aim of groundwater monitoring is the room-filling description of changes in the state of the substance distribution in the source areas on the basis of the large-scale assessment of the status of groundwater dynamics and groundwater quality as well as the recording of the spread of pollutants in the groundwater outflow (outflow monitoring) of the ÖGP. The objective of surface water monitoring is similar. The large-scale monitoring of surface water with regard to water level and flow as well as quality is intended to check whether or to what extent groundwater contamination affects the protected material surface water. As the project sponsor of the ÖGP Bitterfeld-Wolfen, MDSE Mitteldeutsche Sanierungs- und Entsorgungsgesellschaft mbH is responsible for carrying out the monitoring and maintenance of the monitoring network for water monitoring. The partial services to be provided in this context are awarded by the MDSE. Due to the sometimes sensitive infrastructure in the spatial area of the ÖGP (especially in the chemical park), the large-scale measurement campaigns to be carried out in specified short periods of time and the necessary guarantee of sufficient flexibility for the short-term implementation of additional measurement programs, a complex personnel and technical coordination of all requested monitoring services is required. The subject of this request are the following monitoring services for a period of 4 years from 2024 to 2027:

-water level measurements and depth sounding at groundwater measuring points;

- Sampling at groundwater and surface water monitoring points (GWMS/ OFWMS);

- sampling of wells and installations;

- operation of data loggers for measuring water levels;

- Preparation and execution of maintenance services;

- Preparation and coordination as well as documentation of all monitoring services.

Analytical services are not the subject of this request.

An extension of the benefits from 2028 is optionally possible for a maximum period of 2 years until 2029. The optional total contract period thus extends over 6 years.
