The transport authorities for local rail passenger transport, ZÖPNV Süd and SPNV-Nord, the Rhein-Main Verkehrsverbund and the Ministry of the Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Saarland have put out to tender the transport services of the so-called "Diesel Network Southwest Lot 2" throughout Europe. These are mainly regional rail services on the railway lines Frankfurt – Mainz – Bad Kreuznach – Saarbrücken and Mainz – Alzey – Kirchheimbolanden.
The contract was awarded on the tender of Netinera, which since December 2014 has taken over the traffic on the above-mentioned routes with vehicles of the type "Lint 54 and 81" of the company Alstom.
In total, there are 63 vehicles, the contract term is 22.5 years.
In order to ensure a good condition of the vehicles in the long term, the above-mentioned authorities (AT) would like to commission expert support for vehicle maintenance during an expected eight (8) years of the remaining contract period.
The services to be awarded include in particular:
• Induction, project start and kick-off event,
• Workshop audit (optional),
• Review of the safety management system (SMS),
• Reports vehicle situation,
• Fahrzeugdurchsichten,
• Participation in meetings of the Controlling Group,
• Review of the asset management system ZEDAS, evaluation of the data and coordination with the project management,
• Review of revised PowerPacks (optional),
• monitoring of the main inspections,
• Expert accompaniment of accident trains (optional, at cost).
