The sewage sludge shall be thermally recycled. Provision of suitable roll-off containers, removal of the dewatered sewage sludge from the sewage treatment plant, transport for thermal utilization and thermal utilization of the sludge including disposal of the slag.
Technical boundary conditions and interfaces:
Currently, the loading of two roll-off containers is possible. The containers loaded with mud are covered with tarpaulin.
The quantities and TR contents of the resulting sewage sludge can be found in the procurement documents, the test results are listed in the service description. Currently, the sewage sludge is dewatered to approx. 215 TR after polymer addition.
The transfer point to the contractor is the dropping from the centrifuge onto the roll-off containers. The roll-off containers for picking up the sludge must be provided by the contractor. With the 2 loading stations, a relocation of the 2 roll-off containers is required for a working day sludge fall of up to 30 t/day. A daily container change may therefore be necessary. The implementation takes place on the contractor's own responsibility or according to the specifications of the sewage treatment plant personnel within a maximum of 2 hours. Operating hours at the wastewater treatment plant are Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 16:00 and on Fridays from 07:00 to 12:00. For operational reasons, container changes may also be required on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Interim storage on the sewage treatment plant site is not possible, further interim storage must be carried out by the contractor himself.
The unit prices for sewage sludge disposal shall include all ancillary services described in this chapter. The basis for the settlement is the weighted, removed sludge quantity, weighing documents must be submitted. Copies of the certificates of transfer from the incineration plant shall be provided. There is no scale available at the Westerland wastewater treatment plant. The weighing of the removed sludge shall be carried out on a scale recognised by the customer and suitable in accordance with the regulations. The costs are to be included in the unit prices. The roll-off containers must be transported covered, also so that the load or the billing quantity does not increase due to precipitation.
The invitation to tender shall contain a price sliding clause.
Details on the above information can be found in the tender documents.
