The service includes the provision of materials and aids necessary for the transport of works of art, the transport of works of art and the storage of works of art at various destinations.

The service includes the transport of small and large-format objects from the Vorderasiatisches Museum from two building levels to the Central Interim Storage of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. These are pre-packaged art objects / museum objects.

The objects are predominantly made of stone; to a lesser extent of (glazed) ceramics, as well as plaster, metal and glass. Some paintings in stretched, framed or rolled form can also be transported.

The objects are the following object or material groups:

- Relief parts made of stone

- reinforced plaster casts (as plates)

- glazed moulded bricks

- stone sarcophagi quarried in segments

- large-format paintings

- Small objects in outer packaging

The tendered service includes all transport logistics tasks, i.e. the production and provision of transport aids made of plastic, wood and metal, the provision of packaging materials, the takeover of the objects, control as well as packaging and load securing as well as the provision of the loading and conveying equipment required for the transports.

In addition, the installation of load distribution elements and soil protection materials are required for in-house transports.
