Renewal of the protective equipment in the area of the Eichelberg tunnel on the A 71

It is the section of the A71 motorway north of the Eichelberg tunnel. As part of this service, the protective devices on both sides of the roadsides and in the median strip will be renewed and adapted to the current version of the RPS in the section km 151+750 to km 152+225.

The pavement area is located between the junction of the A 71 AS Meiningen Süd motorway and the tunnel apron north crossing between the operating kilometres km 151+480 to km 152+225.

The services will be carried out in two construction phases:

BA 1: A71, Schweinfurt carriageway (completion by 08.11.2024 at the latest)

BA 2: A71, Erfurt carriageway (completion by 07.11.2025 at the latest)

The service includes:

approx. 2100m steel protection system dismantling and recycling

approx. 1200m new construction of steel crash barrier

Break off and dispose of approx. 200m of concrete

approx. 1300m of new concrete barrier construction

Renew approx. 150m protection system at the median strip crossing
