The city of Bünde has an outdoor swimming pool on the outskirts of the city center, which was built in 1936. Due to its age-related condition, Bünder Bäder GmbH intends to renew the Bünde-Mitte outdoor pool, Zum Freibad 12 in 32257 Bünde. The existing buildings and pools were demolished. In other places, new buildings (entrance / sanitary / changing room / technology) and 4 different pools (50 m competition, jumper, play / fun and children's paddling pool) will be replaced be created.

Demolition work started in early January 2020. Recommissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021.
