3 new mapping vessels for marine measuring are in process of being procured. Two of these vessels shall be purchased by the Norwegian Mapping Authority and one vessel shall be procured by the Norwegian Coastal Administration. The first vessel is in process of being built in Sweden and shall be delivered winter 2013. The next vessels shall be completed within spring 2014.
The mapping vessels have a length of 11, 15 metres and shall be in continuous use along the Norwegian coast and Svalbard.
The mapping vessels are equipped with multibeam echosounders, type EM2040. The echosounder is dependent on input from an attitude sensor requested in this tender invitation.
It shall also be facilitated for use of attitude raw data together with raw data from GNSS in integrated GNSS/INS post processing by use of third party software.
The Norwegian Mapping Authority, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, also considers procurement of attitude sensor to the mother vessel named M/S Hydrograf. The vessel is equipped with EM710 multibeam echosounder.
