Sports-event organisation services.

a. Provide a venue with a suitable location that is able to conduct both Alpine and Nordic competitions, which must be on Mainland Europe and no more than 1 200 km from Calais, no further than 2 hours from an international airport and have good local train and bus links. Alpine, Cross country and biathlon competitions must be within the same locality. The Alpine competition must be held on suitable courses that meet Fédération Internationale de Ski (FIS) standards. The Nordic competition must be held on suitable cross country ski courses that meet FIS standards and the Biathlon stadium must be a permanent and dedicated Biathlon facility that meets international biathlon union (IBU) standards for safety and competition. The stadium must have a 30 lane, 50 m target biathlon range. Waxing, medical, timing, commentary, refreshment & store rooms must be available. If snow conditions are poor; for cross country and biathlon competitions, there must be a minimum of a 5 km loop with floodlights, snow cannon and stockpiles of snow; with the ability to maintain the loop to FIS and IBU racing standards; for Alpine competitions there must be an option to provide a similar service at an alternative suitable venue. Championship dates are:

(1) 2013. 12 Jan to 22.1.2013. (Officials arrive 10.1.2013);

(2) 2014. 11 Jan 14 to 21.1.2014. (Officials arrive 9.1.2014);

(3) 2015. 10 Jan to 20.1.2015 (TBC). (Officials arrive 8.1.2015 TBC).

b. There will be a requirement to conduct pre-championships planning and provide; a full results service; competitors self catering accommodation for up to 320; officials self catering accommodation for up to 40 with provision to cater centrally (cooking and dining facilities); race office with communications and broadband; a venue for an outdoor (standing) and indoor (seated) prize giving for 360 personnel; full access to ranges, stadium facilities and courses; emergency mountain rescue.

There will be a requirement for the evaluation team to visit the site during the tender evaluation period.
