The broadband projects under the auspices of VTFK are a part of the work with achieving full broadband coverage throughout Vestfold og Telemark County. The projects will contribute to the development of infrastructure so that internet access is available for as many households/public businesses and business activities in the named areas. The projects also include upgrading of the existing infrastructure as part of the overall broadband coverage. This is in order to be future-oriented.

The broadband projects under the auspices of VTFK are a part of the work with achieving full broadband coverage throughout Vestfold og Telemark County. The projects will contribute to the development of infrastructure so that internet access is available for as many households/public businesses and business activities in the named areas. Vestfold og Telemark County generally has a high degree of broadband services coverage. Analyses show that several municipalities still have areas that lack basic coverage (100 Mbits/s). VTFK (Vestfold and Telemark County) has received government support to continue the development.
The future requires higher capacities and the services delivered via the internet required increasingly higher capacity. On this basis, VTFK will also contribute to the construction of future-oriented internet with a high capacity where it is otherwise not commercially viable for a developer or supplier.

The value and scope of the contract
The total estimated value (all lots): NOK 40,000,000.
The duration of the framework agreement/contract will be ten years.
