The current service is currently contracted out. There are currently up to 1650 students and 150 teaching and non-teaching staff within the School.
The School day begins at 8:30 and ends at 15:15. Lunch break runs from 13:00 until 14:00 .The site closes at 19:00.
The School year is based on a calendar of 195 days. 5 days are to be used for staff professional development, which means that the school will be open to receive students for the legal minimum of 190 days.
The school site is constantly evolving and it is expected that the new contractor will become involved with the growth and enhancement of the catering services to students and staff.
There is an expectation that the successful bidder will be prepared to offer financial investment to Valentines High School in exchange for a longer term contract of between 3 and 5 years, commencing in June 2015.
