The demand for gas transport capacities in Baden-Württemberg is rising steadily. For this reason, terranets bw is planning the new "Süddeutsche Erdgasleitung" (SEL) natural gas transmission pipeline.

The SEL will start near Lampertheim and run south of Heilbronn, north of Ludwigsburg to Esslingen over a total length of 250 km. In Lampertheim, Grenzhof, Kirchhausen and Löchgau, important network nodes to the existing tnbw network will be built. In addition, it will supply cities, municipalities, power plants and industries with natural gas in the future.

The pipeline is to be built in several construction phases, according to which the delivery dates will be determined. This tender includes services for the first construction phase:

SEL1: Heilbronn to Löchgau (25 km, DN 1200)

The services of further construction phases are the subject of future tenders. Further information can be found under www.terranets-sel.de.

The pipeline is to be built "H2Ready", i.e. suitable for the transport of up to 100% molecular hydrogen.

The planning approval decision from 2010 continues to exist and must be implemented. Individual plan amendment procedures are still pending and will be taken into account as far as possible in the invitation to tender.

The applicant is free to inform himself about the planning approval decision or the application documents for the planning approval procedure. The planning approval decision and essential planning documents (current status) will be made available to the interested bidder for download on request.

The private consent of the property owners and managers is also a condition for the start of the work. The acquisition of rights is still ongoing.

The object of the award is the construction work (civil engineering, pipe construction) for the construction of the pipeline

The following individual services are to be provided, among others:

- Installation of pipe storage areas and preparation of access roads to these

- Gehölzeinschlag

- Construction work for laying the pipeline in the open pipe trench, including pressure tests and recultivation

- Construction work for the culverting of waters

- Construction work for the closed crossing of traffic routes (primarily drilling-pressing method; two intersections, approx. 100 metres each, microtunnel method (Direct Pipe system) with feed of trailing steel pipes

- Construction work on steep slopes (partly with existing vineyard walls)

- Restoration of the vineyard walls by a specially qualified, locally based specialist company

- Installation/laying of the following line accessories: KKS system, earth, KKS measuring points, cable duct system for telecommunications line (mostly in the pipe trench)

- Explosive ordnance probing and disposal

- Various services for the implementation of the landscape conservation accompanying plan (LBP)

- Supply of materials (except, inter alia, pipeline pipes, factory arches)

- Geometriemolchung

The applicants selected in the course of the participation competition will receive more detailed information on the subject of the order by requesting an offer.

The following services shall not form part of the contract for works:

- Werkstoffprüfungen

- Construction of shut-off valve stations, pigging stations and connecting pipes to the existing terranets bw system

- Construction of infrastructure connections

- Archaeological construction supervision and pre-construction excavations

- Ecological and pedological construction supervision

- Construction supervision of the client

- Construction supervision and acceptance by experts from TÜV Süd
