Nile Basin wetlands of transboundary significance: Inventory, Baseline Study and Framework Management Plan with a nested case study on the Sudd.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI), through the support of the Federal Ministry of Environment / International Climate Initiative (ICI) (BMU-ICI) of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the project “Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Utilisation of Ecosystem Services of Wetlands of Transboundary Relevance in the Nile Basin” intends to award contract for the “Development of Wetland Management Plans for 3 wetland landscapes:
a) Sio-Siteko (Kenya-Uganda);
b) Sango Bay-Minziro (Uganda-Tanzania); and
c) Semliki Delta (Uganda-Democratic Republic of Congo)”.
The overall objective of the assignment is to prepare 3 wetland management plans in the sub basins and implement first measures for 3 wetland landscapes in:
a) Sio-Siteko (Kenya-Uganda);
b) Sango Bay-Minziro (Uganda-Tanzania); and
c) Semliki Delta (Uganda — Democratic Republic of Congo).
