The municipality of Gooise Meren manages the sewer by cleaning, inspecting and repairing it. The life of the sewer is extended and the municipality has insight into the state. Major maintenance and redesigns above-ground public space can be adapted to the lifespan of the underlying sewer. The pumping stations and pumps are special parts of the sewer and therefore require a special approach and specialized management.
The objective of the tender is to contract a contractor who can unburden the Client with his work and minimizes the inconvenience for local residents and road users.
The municipality manages approximately 280 pumping units, approximately 35 sewage pumping stations (RG) and 5 mountain sedimentation basins (BBB). In a cycle of 2 years, the pump units are cleaned. The sewage pumping stations with double installation are cleaned 2x a year and inspected 1x per year. In principle, the BBBs are cleaned 1x every 4 years and inspected annually.
The work mainly consists of:
cleaning of pump units, pumping stations and BBBs;
inspect and maintain pumps and accessories;
disposal of sludge;
repairs due to inspections.
