The content of the procurement is work related to the renovation and expansion of Tampere Theatre.

The Tampere Theatre project consists of the renovation of the old part and a new extension. The preliminary scope of the project is approximately 5,900 m2 for the renovation and approximately 890 m2 for the extension.

The preliminary schedule for the construction of the project is in 2024-2025.This procurement concerns the procurement of the main contractor, including all construction work and the subcontracts required for their implementation.

At the beginning of the development phase, the project management contractor and the Client select the designers responsible for the implementation planning of the project in cooperation. The design is carried out as a subcontractor of a project management contractor.

Tampereen Tilapalvelut Oy acts as the developer organisation of Tampere Theatre.

Tampereen tilapalvelut Oy will carry out the project as a cooperative project management contract with a target budget. The Client acquires a project management contractor through a negotiated procedure to implement the project in cooperation with the Client. The client and the project management contractor jointly initiate the development phase, during which the construction of the site is planned and the target budget and schedule for the project management contract are determined. At the beginning of the development phase, the project management contractor and the Client select the designers responsible for the implementation planning of the project in cooperation. The design is carried out as a subcontractor of a project management contractor.

At the end of the development phase, the Customer decides on the launch of the project and moving on to the implementation phase.

The cost estimate, calculated at the price level of 5/2022 (Haahtela index 115.5), is EUR 26.4 million, VAT 0. The project management contractor's share of the project's cost estimates is preliminarily EUR 21.8 million.

The preliminary scope of the project is approximately 5,900 m2 for the renovation and approximately 885 m2 for the extension. The aim is to start the development phase of the project after the procurement has ended, in late 2023. The estimated transition to the implementation phase is in spring 2024 and the estimated completion of the project is in summer 2025.
