The Danish Road Traffic Authority must acquire one or more IT system/s to support company control of driving and rest time regulations, including the handling of tachograph data. The Danish Road Traffic Authority has the authority task in Denmark of checking drivers' and companies' compliance with the driving and rest time regulations for road haulage (more than 3.5 tonnes) and bus transport (more than 9 persons) for vehicles owned by Danish companies. The Danish Road Traffic Authority carries out checks corresponding to 165,000 working days, which includes approx. 500-2,000
annual cases. The Danish Road Traffic Authority will have future system support for the area of company control of driving and rest periods as well as the working time rules, including both IT support for a) case management and b) handling of tachograph data.
