The state of Schleswig-Holstein supports on the basis of Article 14 of Regulation (EU) No. 1305/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the promotion of rural development through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD Regulation) 1 and the state program for rural areas (LPLR) Schleswig-Holstein 2014-2020 in the current version, target-group-specific knowledge transfer and information measures (advanced and advanced training events). The offer is aimed at people who work in agriculture, food or forestry (agribusiness) as well as land managers and other economic actors who are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in rural areas or companies operating in the forestry sector acts. All beneficiaries must be active in Schleswig-Holstein.

The funded events are intended in particular to contribute to:

- Improvement of the general, production-technical and economic professional qualifications of persons who work in the above-mentioned fields;

- Creation of additional sources of income on farms (diversification);

- Imparting the qualifications required to run an economically viable business;

- Raising awareness of environmentally conscious behavior and the use of production processes that take greater account of the issues of landscape conservation and improvement, nature and environmental protection, water protection, resource efficiency, climate protection, hygiene, animal health and plant protection as well as sustainable development .
