Delivery of 400 laptops and 350 docking stations
The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) (hereinafter referred to as the contracting authority - "AG") continues to implement the mobility strategy adopted in 2016. The strategy includes the complete conversion of the IT equipment from a fixed workstation computer to a mobile device with external data access for all suitable workstations. To this end, BIBB intends to purchase 400 portable computers (laptops) including accessories and 350 docking stations.
Due to the requirement below "The laptops offered must natively support the "MAC Address Override" or "MAC Address Pass Thorugh" or comparable to USB-C docking stations from the manufacturer "DELL", only products from the manufacturer DELL are relevant to the tender. Currently, the stock of DELL laptops is about 80 percent.
The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training justifies this product-specific tender by the reduction of IT security risks, secure handling with a view to the planned desk sharing model in the new office building and the reduction of compatibility problems with products from other manufacturers.
