Procurement of a digital passenger information system for the ferry docks of HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG

The aim of the Digital Passenger Information System project at the ferry docks of HADAG AG (DFF) is to equip 20 ferry docks with digital displays for the presentation of multimodal passenger information for the first time.

Depending on the passenger frequency and location, modern outdoor displays between 55 and 75 inches are to be installed on the ferry docks. The displays must meet special requirements in terms of vandalism resistance, stability, low-maintenance 24/7 operation, monitoring and weather resistance.

With regard to the content design, special attention is paid to multimodal passenger information, which, in addition to the scheduled ferry departures, can also display the departures of buses, trains and new mobility offers for the last mile (e.g. e-scooters, car sharing, taxis, city bikes) in list and map display. This is to be combined with editorial content on the services offered by HADAG and the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund as well as tourist offers in the vicinity of the ferry terminals.

In addition to the pure provision of hardware and software components, an active role in project management is also required. This includes preparatory work in the area of static calculations, coordination with the pontoon owner HPA (Hamburg Port Authority) and service providers in the field of floor or wall mounting.
