Planning services – fire protection upgrading

and energetic renovation of the heating distribution

The aim of the measure is to continue to make the space available for teaching and research.

Due to the massive fire protection deficiencies, the upgrading must be pursued with the highest priority.

An assessment of the overall measures for fire protection upgrading is available. These are based on a recent opinion of a fire protection expert. The measures include in particular:

- securing the escape routes with smoke compartment formation and upgrading of the

Treppenhausabschlüsse.

- the upgrading of the partitions of workshops, technical rooms and other rooms with increased fire loads.

- the extension or restoration of escape routes

- the production of smoke extraction facilities for the entrance hall and selected stairwells.

Heating system:

The aim of the measures is to avoid heat and thus energy losses and thus to contribute to

efforts to protect the climate and achieve sustainability. The result is the goal of creating a

For this purpose, on the one hand, the replacement of outdated, low-efficiency pumps

required. On the other hand, a hydraulic balancing of the distribution system is necessary in order to achieve a balanced, energy-saving heating heat distribution by means of new system components. A side effect is that the temperature fed in can be lowered, which would result in energy savings.
