The planning area is located in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Landkeis Jerichower Land between Tangermünde and Fischbeck. As part of the compensatory and replacement measures of implemented and currently being implemented flood protection measures, the old water arm "Löpsche" (Elbe-km 390 to approx. Elbe-km 387.6), which extends in the area of the floodplain, is to be completely reconnected to the Elbe. The Löpsche is an old arm composite system, which is located within the Elbe forelands. Currently, the old arms are not connected to the main stream and represent still water zones except during flood events. The aim of the measure is to reconnect part of this interconnected system to the main river of the Elbe. The Löpsche is to be reconnected to the Elbe over a length of about 4.0 km by creating an inlet and restoring a drain. From several individual still waters, a river connected to the Elbe is to be created. Superficially, the aim is to ensure that the Löpsche flows through as permanently as possible and is thus exposed to Elbe water even at low tide. In order to realize this project, a river expansion must therefore take place, which in its consequence requires an expansion of overpasses to the then emerging island. The planning implementation of the transfers is part of this tender and includes partial services of the object planning of civil engineering structures as well as partial services of the specialist planning of structural engineering and consulting services geotechnics.
