The tender is to establish a Framework Agreement for the supply of Pharmacy Delivery Services, which includes low, mid and high tech homecare services. The agreement will be split into 5 lots:
Lot 1 - Dispensing
Lot 2 - Dispensing and Delivery
Lot 3 - Virtual Ward
Lot 3A - Virtual Ward Community Hubs
Lot 4 - High tech Homecare
The duration of the framework agreement will be 4 years maximum, 2 years initial period, with the option to extend for up to 24 months.
Lot 1 Dispensing
The provision of dispensing medicines in accordance with a valid prescription for the patient or representative to collect from an identified location and to ensure all correct signatures and charges are collected
Lot 2 Dispensing and Delivery
The provision to deliver dispensed medicines according to a valid prescription to the patients` preferred address or to a local community pharmacy. The supplier will ensure that all prescriptions undergo a final accuracy check by a registered pharmacist or registered accredited pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Lot 3 Virtual Ward
Virtual wards include services for patients to receive the needed care and observation need at home safely and conveniently. Services can include pre- and post-hospital care. The provision also includes the equipment required for the service.
Lot 3A Virtual Ward Community Hubs
Provision for portable wards at the required locations e.g., buses or portable cabins that are fully equipped to carry out treatment, observations, and monitoring.
Lot 4 High Tech Homecare
The provision for carrying out complex treatment such as IV drug administration that requires trained nurses or healthcare professional administration. This lot also includes the requirements for portable equipment such as medical grade fridges provided prior to treatment initiation. This lot is split into 3 sublots:
Lot 4A High Tech Aseptic Compounding
Lot 4B High Tech Cancer, Palliative and Long-term Conditions
Lot 4C High Tech Community High Care Delivery
