Object planning building.
The Bundeswehr property in Königsbrück houses the Flugphysiologische Trainingszentrum, a site of the Luftwaffe Aerospace Center. The training center serves the aerospace physiological preparation and training of flying crews of the Bundeswehr as well as pilots of other nations.
Within the framework of a major construction project, the Staatsbetrieb Sächsisches Immobilien- und Baumanagement Bautzen subsidiary is planning comprehensive renovation of the accommodation and lecture hall building. The building consists of 2 formerly single-storey two-storey buildings from the 1930s and a mid-four-storey connector building from the 1950s. The renovation is required due to the achieved lifetime of various components and necessary extensive renovation work on the roof and in the basement. The accommodations are to be adapted to the current standard of the Bundeswehr. In addition, the accessibility of the building should be established.
If in the top floor of Building 5 no more accommodation spaces can be arranged, the construction of an accommodation building is required. In this context, the state-owned Saxon real estate and construction management team will examine whether a refurbishment or a replacement building is more economical.
For the renovation of building 5/15/16, parts of the building are to be moved in sections. The SIB will check whether or to what extent an interim building is required.
The total construction costs (excluding KG 700) are estimated gross at a cost of approximately EUR 9.1 million. The share for the KG 300 amounts to approx. EUR 5.3 million and the share for KG 400 approx. EUR 3.3 million gross.
The project is scheduled for November 2019 and the completion of the fourth quarter of 2025.
