Description:
Technical Assistance for the drafting of expansion and improvement projects in various wastewater treatment plants and pumping plants in the Region of Murcia

Draft the corresponding projects that define and assess the actions to be carried out in each of the purification facilities of some municipalities in the Region of Murcia in order to ensure their optimal functioning to guarantee the protection of the environment and the reuse of treated water.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the expansion project of the Abanilla WWTP

The Abanilla WWTP receives wastewater from the urban center of Abanilla by gravity and pumping from the hamlet of Mahoya and the PI La Semolilla, treating a daily design flow of 1,500 m3 / day. The existing infrastructure is at maximum capacity and also the WWTP has a single biological treatment line, which makes it difficult to maintain the plant and even deal with the repair of faults having the WWTP in service at all times.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to expand the capacity of the plant to a design flow of 3,000 m3/d, using the land available on the current plot, complying with the requirements for the reuse of treated water established by the European Union.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the project for the expansion and improvement of the pretreatment of the WWTP of Casas Nuevas in Mula

The WWTP of Casas Nuevas de Mula is designed for a flow of 200 m3 / day and has a thick roughing, a pumping and a sieve for the roughing of fines as well as a compact biological treatment. The equipment is in some cases deteriorated and the access for the maintenance of these is of very small dimensions, complicating the exploitation in terms of the safety and health of the workers.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to comprehensively remodel the existing facilities with the installation of new compact equipment maintaining the design flow of 200 m3 / d, using the land available on the current plot, and complying with the requirements for the reuse of treated water established by the European Union.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the project to expand the WWTP of Lorquí

The Lorquí WWTP is designed for a flow of 5,000 m3/day in two treatment lines, with land reserved for a third treatment line. The plant regularly treats flows close to the design flow, so it is necessary to expand the WWTP so that tips can be absorbed in the inlet flows and even provide some clearance to perform maintenance work.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to expand the capacity of the plant to a design flow of 7,500 m3/d, using the land reserved on the current plot for the construction of the third line, complying with the requirements for the reuse of treated water established by the European Union.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the project for the expansion of the WWTP of La Unión

The WWTP of La Unión receives wastewater from the Garbanzal area through the old HA collector of DN800 and wastewater from the area of the urban area of La Unión through the new HA collector of DN1000, being designed for a flow of 4,100 m3 / day. The existing infrastructure has two biological treatment lines that are at maximum capacity, which makes it difficult to maintain the plant and even deal with the repair of faults having the WWTP in service at all times.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to expand the capacity of the plant to a design flow of 6,150 m3/d, using the land available on the current plot, complying with the requirements for the reuse of treated water established by the European Union.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the expansion project of the Librilla WWTP

Technical assistance for the drafting of the flow rolling tank project of the WWTP of Alhama de Murcia

The WWTP of Alhama de Murcia receives wastewater from the town of Alhama by gravity and the Industrial Park of Alhama by pumping that is joined in a manhole located on the left bank of the Rambla de las Salinas. Given the unitary nature of the sanitation network, during rainy episodes discharges can occur into public channels through the spillway of the arrival manhole that, due to its location on the opposite bank of the ravine, is difficult to maintain.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to provide the facilities with a rolling tank, on the right bank of the ravine, with sufficient capacity to retain the excess water received during rainfall episodes for subsequent treatment and reuse, as well as eliminate the spillway of the current entrance chamber on the left bank that would be located in the tank itself, improving the quality of the possible discharge and facilitating the maintenance conditions of the spillway.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the flow rolling tank project of the Roldán-Balsicas WWTP in Torre Pacheco

The Roldán Balsicas WWTP receives wastewater from Roldán, Lo Ferro and Balsicas by gravity, for its treatment and subsequent reuse for irrigation. Given the unitary nature of the sanitation network, during rainfall episodes discharges can occur into public waterways when the treatment capacity of the WWTP is exceeded.

The project must define and assess the actions necessary to provide the facilities with a rolling tank of sufficient capacity to retain the excess water received during rainfall episodes for subsequent treatment and reuse.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the project of second line of impulsion of the EBAR of Cieza

The Cieza treatment plant treats wastewater from the town of Cieza and the hamlet and industrial estate of Ascoy. The treatment is carried out in two different facilities, so that the pretreatment is carried out in the so-called EBAR de Cieza, located south of the urban center on the left bank of the Segura River, and the rest of the treatments are carried out in the WWTP of Cieza located north of the town about 2,800 m away from the EBAR. The pretreated water in the EBAR is sent to the WWTP by pumping whose impulsion is constituted by a single HDPE pipe of 500 mm in diameter. This pipeline does not have a second line that facilitates the diversion of flows by one or the other to deal with situations of breakage or maintenance of any of them. Additionally, the pumping of pretreated water to the biological does not work with optimal performance mainly due to the arrangement of existing pumps.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to provide the facilities with a second impulsion line with similar characteristics to the existing one and the remodeling of the current EBAR to allow a correct operation and maintenance of the pumping equipment.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the project for the expansion and improvement of the pretreatment of the San Javier WWTP

The San Javier WWTP receives wastewater from San Javier by gravity. The plant is designed for a flow of 9,000 m3/day in winter and 22,500 m3/day in summer. The pretreatment of the WWTP consists of 3 automated roughing channels without an alternative channel or bypass with which to assume tips at the entrance of the plant and / or perform maintenance tasks, as well as breakdowns.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to expand the pretreatment of the San Javier WWTP by providing it with a fourth automated pretreatment channel to achieve a total design flow of the pretreatment of 7,000 m3/h.

Technical assistance for the drafting of the project for the expansion and improvement of the pretreatment of the WWTP of San Pedro del Pinatar

The WWTP of San Pedro del Pinatar is designed for a flow of 20,000 m3/day in summer and 5,000 m3/day in winter, receiving wastewater from San Pedro del Pinatar by gravity. The pretreatment of the WWTP consists of 2 automated roughing channels and one unautomated. The flows received in this plant often have important peaks that make it necessary to automate the third line of channels in the pretreatment and the expansion of a fourth more for by-pass.

The project must define and assess the necessary actions to expand the pretreatment of the San Pedro del Pinatar WWTP by automating the third existing channel to reach a total design flow of the pretreatment of 6,250 m3/h and providing it with a fourth bypass channel.
