The tender applies to the procurement of one Instrument for extraction of nucleic acids, including options for the delivery of 2 equivalent apparatus, and entry into a 2 year framework agreement with option on + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 years and in the instrument's lifetime for necessary consumables in accordance with the requirement specification.

The instrument, with accompanying reagents, shall be used for extraction of nucleic acids (RNA/DNA) from various samples; e.g. tissue (fresh or fixated), blood (full blood, serum or plasma), bone marrow, spinal fluid, brush samples, urine, faeces, bronchial rinsing fluid, pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, cell cultures, cultures of bacteria, etc.

The intended use is smaller series of samples. (C.f. estimated annual volume in Annex B — Price form point 1.6)

The finished cleaned eluate, viral RNA/DNA or bacterial DNA shall be stored in 1.5 ml micro centrifugal tubes (4°C, -20°C and -80°C).

The system shall be validated and a protocol shall be established for the extraction of the following samples:

— -Tissues (fresh and fixated)

— -Blood

Bone marrow

The annual number of samples is minimum 1,500. Note that this is only an estimate, and is not binding for the Contracting Authority.
