The Trust aims to ensure that their existing on-site energy centre is used as efficiently and effectively as possible in a manner that reduces energy costs and carbon emissions. The Trust was therefore seeking to install a battery storage solution at Kingston Hospital.

The Trust aims to ensure that their existing on-site energy centre is used as efficiently and effectively as possible in a manner that reduces energy costs and carbon emissions. The Trust was therefore seeking to install a battery storage solution at Kingston Hospital with the following requirements:

— a containerised, modular system capable of relocation, if required,

— a cost model whereby the Trust makes no capital investment and pays no ongoing servicing/operational costs and the Trust is paid a fixed percentage of the savings or a flat annual fee,

— integration with the Trust’s HV network and any future renewables,

— measurement and verification services to demonstrate performance of the battery storage solution and the associated savings achieved.
