Interim contract for postal services for the judicial authorities in the city of Munich

For the outgoing mail points mentioned in Appendix 1, the dispatch of letters and registered mail must be carried out from 01.07.2023. This contract regulates the collection of mail, the preparation of mail and the transport and delivery of letters for the courts and prisons mentioned in this Annex. This does not apply to formal postal delivery orders. These are only to be collected by the contractor together with the letter post at the post offices and delivered to any postal service in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The diligent and proper execution of mail services is of considerable importance for many legal proceedings. Deliveries of letters that are not executed or processed inadequately or late can lead to serious problems with very far-reaching consequences for the administration of justice and for citizens seeking justice.

It is intended to award the mail services within the framework of the currently ongoing award procedure "Letter services for the judicial authorities in the city of Munich – German eProcurement procedure number 2022000464", in which a ban on the award of the contract has currently occurred due to an application for review.

In order to ensure a seamless provision of services, this interim contract is concluded. The interim contract is terminated as soon as a contract has been awarded in the ongoing award procedure "Letter services for the judicial authorities in the city of Munich - German eProcurement procedure number 2022000464" and the provision of services has been taken over by the contractor of this award procedure.
