Nyköping municipality procures a contractor for emptying containers of recyclable packaging from recycling stations (ÅVS) within the municipality and associated transport to and emptying of the recyclable packaging at the municipality's transshipment station next to Björshult's waste center. Within Nyköping municipality there are currently 36 recycling stations with containers for recyclable packaging, these are categorized as paper packaging, plastic packaging, metal packaging, colored glass and uncolored glass. Recycled paper is not covered by the current procurement, this material is handled in a separate procurement of service concession. The total volume in Nyköping municipality via the above-mentioned flows amounted to 933 tonnes of paper packaging, 355 tonnes of plastic packaging, 75 tonnes of metal packaging and 956 tonnes of glass packaging (coloured/uncoloured) in 2022.

The contractor awarded is thus both entitled and obliged to carry out collection from all recycling stations within the municipality in accordance with what is agreed between the parties.
