on sustainability
New construction of a landfill management building for the Hohenlohekreis waste management.
The building to be planned and constructed will consist mainly of offices, some meeting rooms and a customer area with an employee counter as well as a hot and cold hall for the maintenance of the company vehicles. The building is to be completed by Q1 2026. The contract is awarded to a total contractor in a negotiated procedure with a competitive bid on the basis of a functional service description.
The service includes the planning and construction of the building in compliance with all public law regulations, in particular the requirements of building regulations. The contractor must provide the complete planning of the building including all technical trades, in each case the complete scope of services of the HOAI, including the approval planning. The orientation planning must be taken into account as a basis for this and updated accordingly.
The requirements are defined functionally, i.e. result-oriented, so that bidders can formulate different approaches to meeting these requirements. The space program with 1130 m2 of main usable areas of the east-facing administration (east-west orientation) is supplemented by a hot and cold hall (north-south orientation) located in the west of the site with an area of 192 m² and 375 m², which is also part of the construction project in addition to the required split areas and parking spaces and is located on a slope.
In order not to restrict the market and to be able to achieve the most economical offer possible, the construction method is kept open in the tender. Moveable temporary room elements are not permitted.
In exercising its role model function, the client attaches particular importance to an ecologically justifiable and long-term construction method. Therefore, the building should have an energy supply that is as self-sufficient as possible and a storage function for reusing the rainwater that accumulates. The building is to be certified according to DGNB Gold.
