The main object of the contract to be awarded by the client is the catering of a selected group of persons (VIP guests, Thuringian exhibitors, participants of the stage programme) to be provided by the contractor at the Thuringian joint stand at the International Green Week of 2023 and 2024 (with extension option of the years 2025 and 2026) in Berlin in accordance with the detailed provisions of this tender.

The IGW takes place once a year at the end of January at Messe Berlin, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin, next year in the period from 20 to 29 January 2023. The Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture (TMIL) has rented an area of 1,896 m² in Hall 20 (half hall) for its joint presentation at IGW 2023. At least 35 exhibitors (companies and institutions of the districts) will be represented at the stand.

In Hall 20, a common communication area (catering area with 55 seats) with an area of around 85 m² and an adjoining kitchen will be set up for the TMIL and the above-mentioned Thuringian exhibitors.

The object of the order is the daily delivery, preparation, arrangement and distribution of food and drinks (catering) to Thuringian exhibitors, participants of the stage program and VIP guests (no private trade fair visitors, no sales) at the Thuringian joint stand. In addition, the cloakroom integrated at the joint stand for exhibitors, participants and VIP guests can be managed.

In Hall 20, a joint communication area (gastronomy area) will be set up for the TMIL and the above-mentioned Thuringian exhibitors. The TMIL has earmarked an area of about 85 m² for this area. The kitchen with a total size of about 30 m² is located right next to the communication area.

The communication area, which also functions as a hospitality zone (no sales) for VIP guests, TMIL guests, exhibitors, representatives of the districts and participants of the stage program, has, in addition to various seating areas (about 55), also a bar with a dispensing system, which is set up by the client (AG) and managed by the contractor (contractor). The object of the order is the daily delivery, preparation, serving and distribution of typical regional food and drinks (catering) to Thuringian exhibitors, participants of the stage program and VIP guests (no private trade fair visitors) at the Thuringian joint stand. As part of the catering, in addition to the supply of food at all events or parts of events, a supply of drinks must be guaranteed. With the exception of coffee and real tea (black tea, green tea), the drinks should come from the region of the Free State of Thuringia.

The procurement of goods as well as the cleaning of the catering and kitchen area as well as the surfaces of the seating and standing area in the hall during and at the end of a trade fair day as well as the supervision of the cloakroom integrated on the stand are part of the order.

The fair opens for visitors daily from 10:00 to 18:00, deviating from this is the second Friday, in 2023 on January 27, 2023 from 10:00 to 20:00. In addition, as described above, evening events are planned for the first Friday and the first Sunday. In addition, an optional declaration of readiness is required to provide service personnel for the Lower Saxony evening on Wednesday (2023: 25.01.2023) (services are not subject matter of the contract).
