A central provider is to be found and commissioned to maintain the digital presence of the branches of all AOKs. "Citation" is the term used to describe all places on the Internet where a company is mentioned online. This involves the presentation of information such as name, address, telephone number and website as well as opening times, barrier-free access (if available), pictures of the office and, if necessary, other information belonging to the "Citation" on an online platform. The maintenance and quality assurance of citations is called “citation management”.

In addition to citation management, the scope of services also includes review management, reporting and analytics.

The AOK community currently has a total of 1199 local locations, referred to here as business offices.

At the start of the service period planned for 4 years on January 1, 2021, three AOKs (AOK Bayern, AOK Baden-Württemberg and AOK Bremen / Bremerhaven) with a total of 494 branches will call for the services from the contract. By the end of 2021, seven more AOKs (AOK Hessen, AOK Niedersachsen, AOK Nordost, AOK Plus, AOK Rheinland-Pfalz / Saarland, AOK Rheinland-Hamburg, AOK Sachsen-Anhalt) are expected to call up the services from the contract with their offices. AOK NordWest, with its 93 branches, is expected to call up services from the contract from mid-2022.
