IVVO operates a GFT fermentation plant in Ypres. This installation processes GFT waste which is collected door-to-door. In their own region, this is done via roll containers. In other regions of fellow intercommunales, this can happen in (compostable or non-compostable) plastic bags, paper bags,...
The GFT waste is processed via a wet mesophilic fermentation. The digestate from the fermentation is processed into compost in the post-compost. In this post-composting, hygienization also takes place, which is required to comply with the breakdown of animal and vegetable germs as well as killing weed seeds.
IVVO wishes to appoint a designer to design and realize the expansion of the fermentation plant in 3 phases, which may be implemented one after the other:
Phase 1: Building an additional narripening hall
Stage 2: Building additional composting tunnels
Phase 3: Expansion of fermentation with an additional fermentation reactor and associated utilities
