The entire VPN infrastructure of TU Dortmund University must be adapted to the changed requirements (higher number of users, higher bandwidth) (expansion, modernization) as part of the necessary crisis resilience. This applies to both the central VPN infrastructure and the replacement servers.

Expansion of the VPN server infrastructure to adapt to changing requirements to improve crisis resilience.

The ITMC operates the central VPN infrastructure for the 17 faculties, their chairs as well as for other institutions as well as for the students of the TU Dortmund University with currently over 100 different VPN accesses, which are implemented via two VPN server clusters. In addition, a dedicated VPN server is available for maintenance work and/or emergencies.

In order to adapt the VPN service to the changed requirements, it is necessary to modernize and expand the entire VPN infrastructure.

Increased user numbers (as well as further strong increases in user numbers in the future), an increase in services that have to be operated via the VPN tunnel, as well as a higher bandwidth in the tunnel that is required and necessary as a result, require these moderation measures.

Suitable bidders must provide a currently valid proof of

- Ivanti partner status, at least gold status, and

- Ivanti certification for a minimum of three employees

together with an offer.

Delivery (installation, commissioning and training, if applicable) must be completed by 28.11.2023. If this deadline is not met by the contractor, the client reserves the right to withdraw from the contract. The invoice must also be submitted to the client by 28.11.2023 at the latest.
