Belspo finances a programme dedicated to the digitisation of the scientific and cultural heritage of the Federal Scientific Institutions and the Royal Cinematheque of Belgium. Within this programme, part of the digitisation is carried out by the institutions and the rest is outsourced via public service procurement (open procedure at European level) coordinated by Belspo. As part of phase DIGIT-04 of the program (running from 2019 to 2024), we are launching a third service contract (with a duration of 2 years possibly extendable by 1 year) for the digitization of 2 lots: Heterogeneous paper archive files and Newspapers. Within each batch, we will operate on a project-by-project basis. The presumed quantities shall be indicated in the product specification.
Heterogeneous paper archive filesDigitization (300 DPI) of about 7,400 heterogeneous heritage archive files consisting of different types of paper documents (mostly unbound or sometimes bound notebooks) of different formats (about 315,000 sheets in total). See specifications.
NewspapersDigitization (300 DPI) of about 500 bound volumes of newspapers of different sizes (about 350,000 pages in total). See specifications.
