The City of Rauma's procurement services will request your tender for hazardous waste management services for the period 1.1.2023 - 31.12.2024.
Hazardous waste is accepted at the Hevossuo waste station. In addition to this, medicines are received in seven (7) pharmacies in Rauma and two (2) in Eurajoki.
The invitation to tender concerns the transport and handling of hazardous waste collected at these points and the rental/delivery of collection containers.
The invitation to tender shall contain the following elements:

The hazardous waste management company (later: the provider) rents / delivers to the Rauma Region Waste Management Plant (later the client) the collection containers needed at the Hevossuo waste station and pharmacies. The rental prices/unit prices of the dishes are given according to the offer form (€/month €/pc). Waste containers must be available throughout the contract period.

The Hevossuo waste station has an underground waste oil tank (~8m3) owned by the Client, which is emptied on site about twice a year, and an oil water tank (~8m3) that is emptied about once a year.
The provider picks up the hazardous waste accumulated weekly or on request from the Hevossuo waste station. The ordered collection of hazardous waste must take place within two (2) days of ordering.
The provider regularly keeps a consignment note/movement document for the hazardous waste it collects and reports every six months on the accumulated amounts of hazardous waste as well as pharmacy pickups.
Together with the client, the provider organises an annual 1-2 times/year two-(2) day (approx. 08:00-16:00) hazardous waste collection campaign.
Once a year, the provider organises a training (approximately 4h) for people receiving hazardous waste at the Hevossuo waste station, which deals with occupational safety aspects, the identification of hazardous waste and renewable information in the field of hazardous waste management.
The provider picks up the pharmaceutical waste accumulated in pharmacies weekly - monthly, depending on the pharmacy, the so-called "pharmacy". on a pharmacy tour. The collected hazardous waste must be delivered to a hazardous waste treatment facility that has the appropriate permit.

Battery scraps (lead-acid batteries) are not included in the scope of the invitation to tender.
The subscriber has the right to increase or decrease the number of points that are covered by collection and transportation. The unit numbers presented in the invitation to tender describe the client's currently known situation and are not binding on the client. Changing legislation or decisions taken by the waste management authority may also change the practice now set out in the invitation to tender.
