The Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) invites you to tender for the procurement of consultancy services for the implementation of international development cooperation in the field of radiation safety in accordance with the requirements set out in this procurement document.
On behalf of the government, SSM conducts bilateral development cooperation with the countries of Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus and Armenia, as well as neighbouring cooperation with Russia. SSM also carries out extensive support projects in the waste area financed by the EU and Sida in Georgia and Moldova.
With regard to neighbouring cooperation with Russia, this is carried out in the form of an international environmental and radiation safety work aimed at a high level of radiation safety and environmental quality in Russia and Sweden, as well as strengthening Sweden's environmental and foreign policy focus on the environment and peace. Projects in the other countries focus, inter alia, on radioactive and nuclear waste management, nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear control, decommissioning and nuclear safety related to nuclear power plants, environmental, peace and security issues, and the development of government structures and legislation. SSM has a well-incorporated cooperation with corresponding organisations and programmes in particular Finland and Norway.
