Description:
Content support and further development of Natioanles health portal

With the establishment of the National Health Portal (NGP) by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) in September 2020, access for citizens to uniform, generally understandable and scientifically sound health and care-related information was ensured. The aim is to strengthen the health literacy of citizens and promote patient sovereignty so that people can make informed decisions about their own health and move independently and safely within the complex German healthcare system. In addition to information on diseases, causes of disease, medical therapy methods and preventive measures, the content provided on health and care also includes, for example, information on counselling services and counselling centres, self-help, patients' rights and patient guidelines, the use of digital health-related services and directories for digital health applications and digital care applications. For this purpose, we work together with selected institutions (partners) who support with their professional expertise and provide scientifically sound basic content. The content on the portal is provided in five languages (German, English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian) in order to provide access to as many citizens as possible and also to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive opportunity to provide advice support. The portal is aligned with the criteria of user orientation, transparency and data protection.

The tender is intended to ensure the content support and further development of the National Health Portal from 1 July 2023. The technical implementation of the portal is the responsibility of a digital agency commissioned by the BMG.

The aim of the contractor should be to further develop the content of NGP. The focus is on promoting health literacy and patient sovereignty so that people can make informed decisions about their own health and move independently and safely in the complex German healthcare system.

Further tasks of the contractor and their focus are coordinated in consultation with the BMG as portal carrier in regular meetings. Already established processes from ongoing operation can be adapted and extensive preparatory work can be used.

- Consolidation of content, coordination of cooperation with partners, subcontractors and the agency responsible for technical operation according to the client's specifications

- Transfer and transformation of knowledge on the portal

- User-friendly and intuitive preparation of the contents of the portal

- Editorial activities, e.g. ensuring the updating of existing content, CMS maintenance, SEO optimization of content, editorial and media preparation of health information according to portal-specific requirements

- Expansion of multimedia content (e.g. graphics, video)

- Inclusion of user surveys / user feedback

- Community Management
