The viaduct is located over the customs road (DK 68) to the border crossing in Kukuryki (belonging to the European route E30). The longitudinal axis of the access roads in the plan coincides with the axis of road No. 698. The beginning of the ascent to the viaduct is at km 94+685.61 and the end of the exit at km 94+993.48 of the DW 698 road.
In the vicinity of the facility there are telecommunications and low-voltage power networks, but they do not interfere with the investment.
The renovation of the carrying system consists in restoring the original state with the use of new materials. The scope of the planned renovation works includes the scope of works necessary to ensure safety for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians moving around the facility.
1. As part of the renovation of the viaduct, the elements subject to renovation should be dismantled and the following demolition works should be carried out:
• dismantling of balustrades with pedestrian sidewalk
• dismantling of running panels
• dismantling of road barriers on the access road in the scope of the planned works.
• dismantling the road surface on the viaduct (running panels, beam girders)
• demolition of damaged steel elements of the carrying system
• demolition of damaged concrete elements of supports
• milling the surface on the approach
• dismantling the layers of the surface on the approach
• dismantling curbs on the approach
Before dismantling the elements of the facility, the Contractor shall develop a technological design of the works performed and agree it with the Contracting Authority.
The Contractor is obliged to mark the dismantled elements in a legible manner so that it is possible to identify the place of a given element in the structure.
2. Scope of planned renovation works:
• preparatory works
• Demolition works
• Earthworks
• washing the elements of the object with water and detergent under pressure
• repair of damage to concrete elements of viaduct supports along with surface protection with water-resistant coatings
• repair of damaged steel elements of the carrying system
• repair of damaged steel elements of supports
• execution of new steel elements – securing the edge of the road and fixing the running panels to steel beams
• renovation of intermediate expansion joints – height adjustment to the thickness of the designed road surface
• execution of new anti-corrosion coatings of the carrying system to the extent necessary to perform the renovation of the carrying system
• renovation of existing anti-corrosion coatings to the extent necessary to perform the renovation of the carrying system
• light insulation protection of concrete surfaces in contact with the ground
• waterproofing of the steel carrying system
• making the road surface from cast asphalt
• execution of transition plates
• execution of the expansion joint of the system with Nazi
• installation of pedestrian sidewalk and balustrades
• restoration of curbs on commutes
• replenishment of the space in the protective barriers in the form of drafts
• restoration of protective barriers on commutes
• clearing the area under and within the viaduct
• replenishment of the ground surface under the viaduct
• restoration of the surface on the approach
