The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (‘the Trust’) is a specialist acute trust providing care from the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital and the Liverpool University Dental Hospital. The Trust is seeking programme management expertise to: — Maintain an overview of both the purpose and status of a series of projects in a complex transformational change programme, to use this oversight to support project level activity, to test if overall programme goals are likely to be met and by scoping and managing across project dependencies. — Assist work-stream leads to develop programmes and to act as a sounding board for ideas and approaches to issues which have programme impacts. — Ensure that project team members are regularly informed of the actual position of their project. The Programme The Programme covers the transformation of services to 2018 (The 2018 Programme), including delivery of a new hospital (a 278 000 000 GBP PFI hospital build and a Trust equipment procurement of 35 000 000 GBP) and the redesign and reconfiguration of services across the health economy. The overarching master programme will cover a wide range of Trust activities which may impact on the successful delivery of The 2018 Programme, including: — Development and implementation of the service redesign delivery plan-Development and implementation of workforce change — Construction of the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital — Development of site logistics plans-Development of operational commissioning and equipment plans to support service transfers into the new hospital — Interface with the Outside Hospital developments and the reconfiguration of services — Health economy wide reconfiguration-Interface with the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre on the development of a cancer centre on the RLUH site-Development and creation of the Liverpool Health Campus The consultancy will be effective from the date of appointment up to service transfer into the new hospital, currently planned for June 2017.The Trust is seeking responses form suitably experienced and qualified candidates who can demonstrate successful delivery of multi-faceted and complex programmes, coupled with an outstanding understanding of the NHS operating environment.
