Contract for Periodic Servicing and Inspection, Routine and Responsive Maintenance, Out of Hours Emergency Callouts & Major Works including New Installations for Uttlesford District Council. The Contract is offered in 2 Lots: Lot 1 being Passenger Lifts and Lot 2 being Stair lifts, Platform Lifts and other Disability Hoists. The Council acknowledges the age of some passenger lifts and are therefore also including some capital works. The Council seeks to build long tern partnerships with their selected contractors reducing set up costs for both parties and therefore offers a contract of up to 8 years. This is particularly beneficial given the requirement for out of hours emergency call-outs given the rural nature of our district, which covers over 300 square miles.
Lot 1: Passenger Lifts (currently 9 in total) primarily within Sheltered Accommodations sites as well as across the Corporate Estate including the Council Offices and Saffron Walden Museum (both of which are Listed properties).
The contract, formed on the basis of the National Housing Federation M3 Form of Contract, will cover Periodic Servicing and Inspection, Routine and Responsive Maintenance and Out of Hours Emergency Callouts. There is also provision for Major Works including New Installations.
Lot 2: Stair Lifts (currently 54 in total) and Platform Lifts (currently 2 in total) primarily within Sheltered Accommodations sites and individual tenanted properties as well as across the Corporate Estate including the Council Offices and Saffron Walden Museum (both of which are Listed properties).
The contract, formed on the basis of the National Housing Federation M3 Form of Contract, will cover Periodic Servicing and Inspection, Routine and Responsive Maintenance and Out of Hours Emergency Callouts. There is also provision for Major Works including New Installations. The Council will consider increasing the scope of the contract for works carried out under Disability Facilities Grants to privately owned properties.
