The order comprises planning services for the expansion of the energy supply (CHP plant operated with soil/sewage gas and hydrogen, medium-voltage ring and a so-called energy park — hydrogen production —) at the Lauben group sewage treatment plant of the special purpose association AV Kempten (Allgäu), taking into account the plant technology currently available on the market, combines high operational availability and reliable operability with technical innovation.
The order includes planning services and the execution of the expansion of the energy supply to include a CHP plant powered by natural gas, sewage gas and up to 30% hydrogen, a medium-voltage ring including peripherals, and a so-called energy park (hydrogen production) during ongoing operation, taking into account the current level of market available plant technology that combines high operational availability and reliable operability with technical innovation. The wastewater treatment plant has a connection size of approx. 460,000 PE.
The client intends to award the following services:
- Property planning engineering structures (IBW) in accordance with HOAI 2021 § 43 (LpH 3-9)
- Performance description of technical equipment (TA) in accordance with HOAI 2021 § 55 Process and Process Engineering (WG 1 and 7)
and EMSR technology (AG 2-6 and 8) (LpH 3-9) - structural engineering (TWpl) in accordance with HOAI 2021 § 51 (LpH 1-6)
- Local construction supervision
In addition, special services should be commissioned:
- TA: Updating of execution plans up to stock
- tWpl: Proof of reinforcement acceptances
- Certification procedure for overall performance (plant certificate B)
- Comprehensive coordination of “black boxes” (gas separation, electrolysis, hydrogen, battery storage...)
In addition to the planning and conceptual preliminary considerations, the task of the engineering office is the execution planning and implementation of the selected solutions.
