The service is part of the interventions and actions promoted by the municipal administration aimed at guaranteeing assistance for autonomy and communication of pupils with disabilities for facilitate the process of full school and social integration in the school context, in any case respecting the institutional role of the school, ensuring the right to education and education as provided for by Law no. 104/1992. Period 1.9.2021—1.8.2026.
The educational assistance service is intended to supplement and not replace the basic and didactic welfare activities within the competence of the educational institution. The benefits are realized in socio-educational and/or socio-welfare support interventions as a support to autonomy and communication, aimed at ensuring full social integration in the context in to which the pupil is inserted, facilitate his adaptation, as well as the full development of socio-relational skills, in line with the provisions of the individualized educational plan (EIP) which specifies the Socio-educational interventions required and which, in turn, is placed in the plan of the training offer (POF).
Specialist assistance is meant, in fact, an ad personam service, which must be provided to the individual pupil with disabilities, and must be understood as not standardized and/or codified, but effectively and functionally diversified, oriented to meet the individual needs of each individual student with disabilities, designing personalized interventions, in harmony with his needs and with his peculiar resources.
