The building stands on supports on the ground floor and thus serves as a covered access to the building complex. The building has a square floor plan, the rooms are arranged around an internal solid staircase core, which contains the supply shafts, toilets, elevator and stairs. The new use includes office and laboratory space. For the renovation of the tower, it is necessary to proceed in advance. Pollutant remediation, a dismantling of the shell including the façade is planned. The renovation is being carried out in cooperation with a specialist planner. The curtain wall façade is equipped with PV elements. The planning for this was drawn up by an external façade planner. He accompanies the construction work as a consultant. The previous planning office will be commissioned up to and including LPH 7, but will be available until project completion. The training before the start of LPH 8 is paid for by a lump sum.
