Stadtwerke Bonn Verkehrs GmbH (SWBV) is currently procuring a new rail armor vehicle, hereinafter referred to as RW-S. This is intended to replace the now 20-year-old vehicle (Florian Bonn 01 RW rail 01). The vehicle is the only armor wagon rail of the Bonn professional fire brigade and is also used nationwide by fire station 1 (Bonn Center).

The main area of application is the railing of injured trains as well as general technical assistance in the area of rail transport. In addition, the vehicle is taking part in the fire department's armor train, and thus also operates “normal” TH operations.

A spare parts supply for all parts not freely available on the market for at least 10 years is to be assured.
